Do quality work! FIrst and foremost. Initial business can be tough. I recommend a classified ad (cheap) and run it long term. You should be flooded with calls Make sure to follow up no matter how small the job and do a good job you will be recommended often that way. You may have to price a little low to get off the ground floor but you can always creep up later. I m 11 years of running my own business now and that is how i had to do it and i have a great bus now!

when I did H/I work I made very nice flyers and stuck them between the flag and the mailbox….note youmay not put them in the mail box and if you do not put them in the flag securely they will blow away and make the neighborhood mad another option is the paper tube

Hey I know how you feel that happened to us in our business one time. Come to find out it was the advertising we were doing that wasn’t working. You’d be surprised how important it is to advertise in the right area.
What I would do is this. Advertise in the phone book.
Also Bus Bench advertising is cheap, cheap cheap.
If you are short on cash then I would look for someone that is in your line of work that is doing well and find out where they get their customers?
Tap their brain for info and most guys will be glad to help you.
Look at how successful people are doing it and duplicate what they do.
I have no doubt you do quality work and are a hard worker. This is a common problem where people do great once they have the customer but getting the customers is the main challenge with most businesses.
