Depends where you live……..but I would guess a couple of grand and tax. Hopefully on the fascia trim you haven’t got deeper rot. If so,expect more, depending how deep the problem has traveled. The cost could go to 3, if the rafter tails and roofing have to be fixed. Let’s hope not, and have a nice holiday.
Well in California around where I live, it would run anywhere from $7k to $20k. It would be something that would really have to be looked at. Crown molding varies in price a lot. Is the acoustic removal the one room or the whole house? The fiberglass columns could be fairly cheap or relatively expensive depending on who makes them. How much fascia is there to be replaced, and does it go deeper? Is the exterior of your house stucco or wood, for the window trim? Is the house very old? The trim could possibly have to be made, which is also expensive. It’s really hard unless you have someone in the trades look at it in person. I’ve been in the business for 15 years, I know.
Here’s some numbers that should give you a ballpark idea, however, as the others have said, it depends on where you live & what problems might be encountered completing the work:
Scrape ceiling$175 - $275 (lot)
Re-texture ceiling$300 - $375 (lot)
Prime & paint ceiling$1.15 - $1.55 per square foot
Install crown molding$275 - $350 (84′)
Prime & paint crown$1.35 - $1.85 per linear foot
Build & sheetrock wall$250 - $350 4’x8’
Prime & paint wall$1.15 - $1.55 per square foot
Install base molding$4.25 - $5.10 per linear foot
Prime & paint base molding$1.25 - $1.85 per linear foot
Columns (incl. Capitals & Bases)$125 - $160 each
Prime & paint columns$1.91 - $2.85 per linear foot
Install/repair sheetrock$1.80 - $2.75 per square foot
Prime & paint repaired sheetrock$1.15 - $1.55 per square foot
Remove rotted fascia$0.55 per linear foot
Install new fascia$2.85 - $3.75 per linear foot
Prime & paint fascia$1.65 – 2.35 per linear foot
The above include labor & materials…painting includes priming & 2 coats of finish paint. Column installation includes capitals, bases, cutting & installing.
It might be wise to order your columns pre-cut as on-site cutting can be difficult. Also, columns usually are sized 6″ and up…sheetrock walls are normally 5″ thick. The walls that will have the column end-caps may need to have an 5/8″ thickness added to each wall side.
If furniture is to be moved, additional costs of $100-$300 may be charged.
Good luck…
